INSULATED PHASE CONDUCTORS AND NEUTRAL • Compact stranded AA-8000 Series aluminum alloy • Type XHHW-2 conductors • Black XLP (cross-linked polyethylene), rated 90°C wet or dry locations • One of the phase conductors has a red stripe on the surface of the insulation for polarity identification • The complete surface of the neutral conductor is painted white
BARE EQUIPMENT GROUNDING CONDUCTOR • Compact stranded AA-8000 Series aluminum alloy
ASSEMBLY • The insulated and bare conductors are twisted together • A glass-reinforced tape is applied over the conductors
JACKET • A gray, sunlight resistant PVC (polyvinyl chloride) jacket is applied over the complete assembly
