What Type of Wire Do I Need?
Type
Construction
Applications
Non-Metallic Sheathed Cable

• Smooth plastic jacket
• THHN insulated conductors
• 2 or 3 conductors with our without ground

For general wiring of homes, farm buildings, stores and shops. It is flame and moisture resistant, but should not be used in wet locations.
Underground Feeder Cable

• Plastic jacket and plastic iinsulation
• 2 or 3 conductors with or without ground
Direct burial in the earth as feeder or branch circuit cable. Indoor or outdoor wiring, where subject to damp or corrosive conditions. Inside hollow brick, tile or masonry walls. Barns when acids, fungus, alkalis or moisture are present.
Service Entrance Cable
• For neutral (third wire) twist bare strands that are wrapped
around bare strands around  insulated conductors
• Available with either copper or aluminum conductors
May be used without conduit from pole to building and down the side of building where not subject to mechanical injury. Use as service entrance cable.
XLP-USE Underground Service Cable
• Flame and moisture resistant
• Available with either copper or aluminum conductors
Suitable for direct burial in the earth as a service entrance cable, feeder or branch circuit cable at 75°C service. Can also be used in conduit or duct, in wet or dry locations.
Triplexed Secondary UD Cable
• Polyethylene covered aluminum phase conductors
Used for secondary distribution and underground service at 600 Volts or less.
90°C Small Diameter Building Wire
• Nylon jacket over PVC   insulation
• Type-2 8 AWG and larger
600 Volts building wire, suitable for new work and in re-wiring of existing raceways. Use in conduit, duct or EMT. THHN rated 75°C in wet location, 90°C. THWN-2 rated 90°C wet/dry locations. See code ampacity for size.
Bare Copper Wire
• Soft drawn annealed copper
• Solid and stranded
• Large range of sizes
For grounding services.
Submersible Pump-Cable Twisted
• Fully annealed solid copper
• Moisture resistant conductors
• Twisted assembly
• UL listed, type THW conductors
Used within well casing for wiring submersible pump units. Temperature range -20°C to 75°C. Voltage rating 600 Volts.
