Applications

Cerrowire All Purpose MC Cable is engineered for professional electricians, electrical contractors, and facilities managers seeking a reliable, heavy-duty wiring solution that complies with the latest electrical code requirements. This made in the U.S.A., commercial-grade, metal-clad cable features high-performance THHN/THWN-2 copper conductors and a bare aluminum grounding/bonding conductor that remains in continuous contact with the aluminum armor, providing a redundant ground path for enhanced safety. Designed for code-compliant installations, it is an ideal choice for projects requiring metal-clad wiring systems that meet UL and NFPA standards.

Perfect for a wide range of applications—including interior branch circuit wiring and lighting installations, this MC cable performs exceptionally well in commercial buildings, industrial environments, high-rise residential construction, healthcare facilities, and office complexes. Its rugged interlocked aluminum armor offers mechanical protection without the need for conduit, helping installers meet tight project deadlines while cutting down on labor and material costs. For electricians looking to buy flexible MC cable for commercial or industrial projects, this product delivers unmatched value.

Built with solid or stranded copper conductors manufactured to ASTM B3, B8, and B787 standards as applicable, this multi-conductor MC cable ensures high electrical conductivity and long-term durability. Each conductor is insulated with color-coded THHN/THWN-2 PVC/Nylon to provide excellent heat resistance, abrasion protection, and easy phase identification during installation. This makes it an excellent choice for multi-circuit wiring projects, especially where space-saving armored cable is preferred over conduit-based systems.

The cable’s aluminum armor jacket is designed to withstand harsh job site conditions and is compliant with the UL 1569, FT4/IEEE 1202 flame test, and National Electrical Code Article 330. Its field-friendly design includes sequential footage markings, surface print legends, and pull direction indicators, allowing for more accurate measurements and faster pulls. These features are critical for electrical contractors working on multi-family housing units, retail developments, and institutional wiring projects, where efficient installation and reduced material waste are essential.

Cerrowire’s All Purpose MC Cable is available in multiple configurations, including 2-conductor, 3-conductor, and 4-conductor options, in sizes from 14 AWG to 10 AWG. Whether you’re installing lighting installations, or branch circuit wiring, this cable provides dependable performance and peace of mind. Backed by Cerrowire’s century-long reputation for quality and innovation, it’s the go-to choice for professionals seeking high-quality metal-clad cable made in the USA.

Additional Features

Metal-Clad Cable with two-, three-, of four-circuit THHN/THWN conductors, and a bare aluminum grounding/bonding conductor in constant contact with the armor, allowing it to serve as a redundant grounding path. Intended for use in accordance with the National Electrical Code®. Conductor constructions have the insulated conductors cabled together with a separator tape, displaying the identification print legend, wrapped around the assembly. The bare aluminum grounding/bonding conductor is cabled on the outside of the separator tape. An interlocked aluminum armor is applied over the entire construction.
